What Is Toronto Halal Food?
Toronto Halal Food is an independent, community-driven project — not a paid listing site. Businesses can’t buy their way up HalalRank, and listings stay because the community finds them useful.
We started this directory because finding reliably halal food in a city as big as Toronto shouldn’t require hours of research. Word of mouth is powerful, but it doesn’t scale — a family new to Scarborough shouldn’t have to ask five different people where to find halal groceries. So we built one place where the whole community’s knowledge comes together.
How Listings Work
Listings are submitted by business owners and community members, then reviewed before publication. Each listing shows the address, hours, phone number, halal status, cuisine, and price range, so you can decide before you make the trip. Halal status is self-reported by each business — we recommend confirming with the establishment directly, and we make it easy to report corrections when something changes.
